I got a problem.

I found a driver for my printer, which isnt supported under linux well, for ubuntu as deb-package, but extractet it and made a pacman package out of it.
After that i connected my printer to my PC - everything with its hardware is fine - started it, and searched for it in cups (localhost:631).
(i neednt to blacklist usblp; if i do it doesnt appear in cups under "add printer", cups daemon is started when system starts.)
So i added my printer, founded my installed driver in list "mg2100 series v3.60", setted it up correctly.

Now it doesnt print. when i look up for my printers (http://localhost:631/printers/ ) i get a "Angehalten - "Unable to open USB port device file: Permission denied" " as status message.
Angehalten is german and stands for "stopped"
I googlet this error, tried to set up the /dev/usb/lp0 device with chown 660; but with chown [myusername], too, and i didnt have any success.
I have that feeling that its a quiet simple error with a little trick or something i forgot, but i dont get it.

If there isnt any help for me, i have to install an illegal copy of windows on an old hdd only to can print anything, and thats not why i use linux, to install a windows on my machine for every little thing which doesnt work. I had lots of success with winehq, too, for playing games, and i fought hard to bring some games to run, but i made it.
So the last thing i want is, that cause of this sh****y printer ive to reinstall windows on my machine... -.-

Many canon linux packages have a damon that needs to be started.
The debian scripts seem to start such daemons using user lp from group lp, arch doesn't have that user.
Did you make an archlinux rc.d script for the daemon ?
