both discrete and integrated graphics on desktop computer

I recently got an nVidia GTX 460 from a friend, and I am probably going to build a desktop computer soon enough. I'm going for the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard (link). This motherboard has something called LucidLogix Virtu GPU Virtualization, which equals switchable graphics. I have read some on the internet, and it looks like it is possible to enable both the onboard and the discrete graphics card at the same time on a desktop computer, as long as the onboard isn't automatically disabled when an external PCIe is connected. At least, it seems some people got it working in Windows (link).

But, will this be possible in Linux? Assuming you can have both cards physically avalible on the system, is it possible to set up Xorg to use both of the cards?

I'm wondering because I want to have three monitors, but I don't want to buy a new graphics card

Sometimes, when I'm trying to get any audio software or hardware working with my system, I wonder why I ditched Windows. But every time I work at a windows computer, I remember it again.
