Random freezes with Sandy Bridge

Hi all,

My laptop have issues running Arch Linux. I used Arch for a long time on my previous 2 computers and never had any problem... Now it randomly freezes.
No matter what I am doing. Sometimes I just turned on the computer, sometimes I work for hours... but it suddenly freezes. Completely. I can't even go out of X, with CTRL+ALT+F1 or anything like this.

I think may be something related to X or even the kernel. It started to happen on Arch Linux, but I tried Ubuntu and Fedora and also had the same issues. Curiously with Windows it never freezes.

I couldn't find anything unusual on Xorg.0.log. Someone has any idea of where else can I trace the source of the issue?

Thanks,
R.

Re: Random freezes with Sandy Bridge

Folks here are gonna need more info than "randomly freezes" and "couldn't find anything unusual."
