[SOLVED] GDM won't start after System upgrade

Hi,
I'm using Gnome3 with Linux home 3.3.7-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT x86_64 GNU/Linux.
After a system upgrade today, I am not able to start GDM. Trying to restart GDM from tty throws the following error.

** (gdm-binary:756): WARNING **:  failed to acquire org.gnome.DisplayManager: Connection ":1.19" is not allowed to own the service "org.gnome.DisplayManager" due to security policies in the configuration file

** (gdm-binary:756): WARNING **:  Could not acquire name: bailing out

sudo gdm also does not fix the problem.

Of couse I have checked /etc/dbus-1/system.de/gdm.conf - only in policy context="default" there are some deny rules. Should I edit those?
There were too many confusing tips on other forums, some outdated or abandoned threads. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks.

How did you update your system?

May I suggest you try another pacman -Syu 
1. This ensures you did a full upgrade.  2. It fixes the possibility that your server was only partially synced.

I did a regular system upgrade (pacman -Syu), everything went through smoothly.
Of couse I did it again from tty when GDM would not start. However, pacman just says I'm up to date.

Any other ideas?

I've read several blog posts and threads on this kind of issue but there does not seem to be a simple solution.

Try switching to lxdm for a change.

Try switching to lxdm for a change.

I am familiar with lxdm and lxde. Changing my display manager is - however - not an option right now.

I have just solved this problem.
I have deleted the guest account from my system. When looking into /etc/gdm/custom.conf I saw that for [daemon] AutomaticLogin=guest. I've changed that to my username and now I can log into Gnome3 again.

I have exact same problem like yours..unfortunately your solution doesn't work for me.
