Re: SLiM Themes

Nice theme smile I still am using slim as well.

1.3.3 was just released in slim svn. Thinking of building a PKGBUILD for it as it seems to compile fine, but I am sure the new version will arrive shortly for us. I am glad to see it is not dead completly

Re: SLiM Themes

Nice! But what are the things in the background? They remind me of something similar from a Super Mario game.

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.

I don't know what they are.
I've heard everything from people to digglets to tombstones, take your pick.

Re: SLiM Themes

I've tried a couple of these themes and others and even copied default as default2 and always get this message;

slim: Invalid theme in config:

Checked permissions and they seem the same. I'm running slim latest from svn which night be the problem but then the theme 'default' wouldn't work either, would it?

Google and the how-to gave no clues (how-to http://slim.berlios.de/themes_howto.php)

Re: SLiM Themes

Silly me! When installing from svn prefix is /usr/local and thus for the themes too! Works OK now!

PS: If you're interrested in new slim 1.3.3 please help me with the PKGBUILD here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=136724
All comments welcome!

Re: SLiM Themes

Figured I'd post in here instead of creating a new topic.

Have been waiting for authorization from javierocasio to release a theme I made a week ago to spice up my slim+slimlock environment. Name is Slim-Air and you can find it on Box-Look and AUR

Re: SLiM Themes

Slim-air is very nice! Thanks! But there's one error in the install instructions; in slim.conf you have to put slim-air-1.0, nor just slim-air. Slim chooses from the directory names.

Re: SLiM Themes

Yes swanson you're right. Changed the tar.gz to unpack to slim-air. I think it's cleaner that way. Never noticed that problem because the AUR PKGBUILD already renames it tongue

Re: SLiM Themes

Would it be possible to get the background picture by itself somehow?  I'd love it to be my wallpaper.

Re: SLiM Themes

So you're linking to your deviant art account instead of just giving the link to the full pic. Good job.

Re: SLiM Themes

I made one as well, nothing fancy, but I like it, hope you will as well smile
It should work with most resolutions, but I didn't have universality in mind at that time.
