Hello, I've found a problem that I hadn't seen before (but which may or may not be new): when trying to set a mark with ma, say, zathura freezes, and the process has to be killed.
There's another, less pressing issue that has been nagging me for some time: if I'm, say, at page 8 of a document and press s to zoom, I will land in a different, earlier page.
Thanks for zathura,
Manolo

Wow, the changelog looks exciting, if they do not hit arch repos in a few days I am going to compile them.

Anybody else experiencing problems when viewing pdfs in fullscreen mode (F5)?
It just happens with some pdfs for me (namely the ones created with libreoffice impress, pdfs created with pdflatex work fine). It worked fine with zathura 0.1.2, but since the update today zathura just zooms in too much, I see about 1/3 of my pdf page if I hit F5. A workaround is to set the zoom level manually but that's just a workaround, so anybody else with this problem or a solution?
Greetings

Just wanted to say thanks for helping with the vimification of my life. Zathura has been my standard reader for a while now. Great!

Hello,
We are happy to announce a new version of zathura (0.2.0):
(...)
zathura-pdf-mupdf (0.2.0)
I'm still wondering about the mupdf plugin.
Git-Version and the 0.2.0 package won't build for me. Complaining about missing files.
Could it be, that the plugin is incompatible with the 1.0 release of mupdf?

Thanks for the information. Since there is a new mupdf version, it's time to merge
edit: You should be able to build the develop branch right now
@matse: Fixed in the develop version.

I believe I haven't thanked you guys for another page or so, so here is my "Thank you!" for a very excellent PDF viewer. The only feature I'm (sort of) missing is the ability to add notes to a PDF, but that actually seems like overkill for a viewer like this.
So, carry on being awesome.

I'm experiencing a new issue with zathura 0.2.0-1 from Community. When I try to close the window in dwm (which sends it a WM_DELETE_WINDOW event), zathura won't close but hangs, stops responding. I've tested with several pdfs with the same result. Closing from within zathura with ":q" works.

I am using dwm as well and I don't have this problem. Did it work for you with 0.1.2? How are you trying to close it, with the killclient function?

I did some more testing and apparently the hanging only happens when I close the window while zathura is still busy loading a page. My laptop is pretty slow and I've been glancing big pdfs with a lot of pictures, so this happens often. It seems that ":q" still closes fine, even when a page is loading. And yes, using the killclient function.
I think this didn't happen with 0.1.2, at least not in such a reproducible way.

Very nice and yes it worked.
And nice to see, that images in documentes will be displayed. (Tested it a while ago where this wasn't achieved)
On the other side the pdf.so is not a small one
One general complain about zathura.
Using tabcomplete I see one issue (But propably it's intended and it is really a minor one)
Example: One pdf in /documents/books/
I would type doc press Tab and it completes to
/home/user/documents/
If I press Tab again it won't do anything. To get the behaviour I want, I need to enter a char (like b) or remove the /. After that I can tab again to the prefered location

Try hitting Space before another tab.

I'm running into a problem: follow hints and the index mode do not work. I press "f" and type one of the numbers displayed then press enter, but absolutely nothing happens after that. Similarly, when I press enter to select an entry in index mode, I just go back to regular mode while viewing the same page I was viewing before.
Are these known issues? I'm using version 0.2.0
By the way, I had been using apvlv for a while and was running into some issues (and the lack of mouse scroll was a little bit annoying for others trying to show me something on my laptop), so I'm really glad to have found zathura. Nice, clean little program.
EDIT; I managed to get hints mode to work in a document I created with beamer (although it seems to send me one page ahead of where it should...). When I use it, I get this message in the terminal:
(zathura:1267): Poppler-CRITICAL **: PopplerPage* poppler_document_get_page(PopplerDocument*, int): assertion `0 <= index && index < poppler_document_get_n_pages (document)' failed

I am trying to get odd pages on the right (as is usual with books).
I have looked around on this forum, and on the Zathura website, but could not find how to do this. Google did not help either.
In Evince if you go to dual view, you have the option to put odd pages on the right. The title page will then start on the right, and left from it will be nothing. Can I also do something like that in Zathura?
More general, I would like an option to specify in which column the first page should be displayed. Then I would like to do womething like:
> set pages-per-row 2
> set first-page-column 2
Is this possible?
P.s.: Thanks for this great program!

I also am trying to get odd pages on the right.
Very happy with Zathura otherwise, this would make it perfect

I implemented this two days a go. It has been patched against the development branch.
So either wait till the new release, or fetch a copy of the development repo.

MLQ,
Could you add following code to girara session.c ?
About line 269
/* view */
gtk_widget_override_background_color(GTK_WIDGET(session->gtk.viewport), GTK_STATE_NORMAL, &(session->style.default_background));+ gtk_widget_modify_bg(GTK_WIDGET(session->gtk.viewport), GTK_STATE_NORMAL, &(session->style.default_background));
+ gtk_widget_override_background_color(GTK_WIDGET(session->gtk.window), GTK_STATE_NORMAL, &(session->style.default_background));
+ gtk_widget_modify_bg(GTK_WIDGET(session->gtk.window), GTK_STATE_NORMAL, &(session->style.default_background));
What thes 3 lines do is to draw the primitive windows with the good background color.
Currently - I am using a black desktop - when switching to a desktop where zathura is opened, first (and very briefly) it is white, then my settings take place (in that case black).
Thus the windows is blinking and that is tiring for the eyes...
With above code this issue is gone!
Thanks!

This just means that you can pass multiple documents as arguments to zathura when you run it from your command line.

Do you actually consider zathura feature complete now? I am really happy with the program, and though it took quite some time to get zathura back to where it was after you ported it to girara, it works flawlessly now and is once again my main PDF/DjVu reader.
