Problem recognizing resized root partition

Hello, everybody:
Recently I moved and resized my root and home partitions with Gparted using a liveCD. Everything went good, but ArchLinux doesn't recognize the new size of my root partition (the home partition have no troubles).

This is the output from parted:

# parted -l

Wich is correct for both the root (5) and home (6) partitions. However, this is the output from df:

As you can see, the home partition is ok, but not the root partition. I remember that when i restarted ArchLinux for the first time after the resize, there was a message saying that the cached first block and the real first block of the home partition where different, so it performed a new read. But that doesn't happened with the root partition. Have you ever experienced something like this? What can I do? Is there anyway to force this 'read' for the root partition?

I'm not sure I understand what the issue is. Is your /etc/fstab set to use UUIDs, and did those UUIDs maybe change when you resized things?

If that would the case, the system could not start. The problem is that i resized (and also moved) the root partition from 20GB to 30GB. However, ArchLinux didn't recognize that new size and keeps assuming its size is 20GB, as the df command shows. But that's not true, as shown by parted and gparted. Did i explain it better now? How can i fix that?
