[SOLVED] Help with UEFI installation

I recently got a new computer with UEFI, and now I can't seem to boot into the system. I followed exactly the steps as described on http://www.overclockers.com/forums/show … p?t=707382, and the wiki, but... I got stuck in the UEFI Shell. I booted my USB and successfully ran UEFI Shell 1 (2.0 has a bug and doesn't work, either that or my firmware is too old). However, the command bcfg gives me a seemingly impossible error: "bcgf is not recognized as an internal command...".

And now I'm completely stuck as I can't boot my Arch - and no idea how. Btw, the hardware is an ASRock FX890 Deluxe 5.

Re: [SOLVED] Help with UEFI installation

Which instructions? I don't see how you can have "followed exactly the steps" as described on overclockers *and* all the ways described in the wiki.

If you installed grub2 as described in the wiki while in BIOS mode, all you need to do is boot in UEFI mode to complete the installation. I used Ubuntu to do this but anything which will boot UEFI will do. I don't see why you need to mess around in the UEFI shell...

Or you could try ArchBoot.

bcfg is not part of UEFI Shell 1.0 . Use efibootmgr if UEFI Shell 2.0 doe snot work in your system.

Re: [SOLVED] Help with UEFI installation

Okay, apparently I didn't realise Archboot could natively boot into UEFI... which totally solved my problem. I feel so dumb now sad
