[SOLVED] Output issues with nvidia and kernel 3.4

After updating the system to latest versions, the VGA output was working, but off (only corner of the display was shown).

Issue was solved by downgrading the packages back to older versions:

warning: downgrading package nvidia-utils (302.17-1 => 295.53-1)
warning: downgrading package nvidia (302.17-1 => 295.53-1)
warning: downgrading package linux (3.4.3-1 => 3.3.8-1)
warning: downgrading package linux-headers (3.4.3-1 => 3.3.8-1)

Edit: Removed the SOLVED flag from subject, as downgrading is only a temporary solution.

Downgrading is not a solution, it's a workaround. Please unmark this thread as solved.

Have you read this thread yet?

Re: [SOLVED] Output issues with nvidia and kernel 3.4

Now, after upgrading to just released nvidia version 304.32 (whereas 302.17-1 did not work for me), the output is shown as expected:

extra/nvidia-utils     295.53-1   -> 304.32-1
extra/nvidia           295.53-1   -> 304.32-1

Hence, marking issue solved.
