I just installed gnome 3.4.2. I'm having some issues with the settings daemon. If I try to set dual monitor or even just change the resolution on the laptop monitor I get the following error:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface `org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.XRANDR_2' on object at path /org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/XRANDR
I have Intel graphics card. Suggestions?

It seems like I'm the only one who ever experienced this issue... :S

Exactly the same error, but different situation.
My card is AMD HD5870, with catalyst installed and only one display monitor, and my computer is not a laptop, but a desktop PC.
Waiting for answers too...

output of "gdbus introspect --session --dest org.gnome.SettingsDaemon --object-path /org/gnome/SettingsDaemon --only-properties" on my notebook with nvidia blob is:
###
node /org/gnome/SettingsDaemon {
node Power {
};
node MediaKeys {
};
node Orientation {
};
};

when i checked that on my arch vm guest there was a node called "XRANDR". can you confirm this?

solution: dconf write /org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/xrandr/active true
