Arch Splash Screen (gnome)

ArchNature1600x1200.png
Availble for download at gnome-look.org. It contains for res. 1600x1200 (as the picture above) and res. 1280x1024. It's called Arch Nature.

Still working on the borders to make them smoother.
Some input so I can improve it is appriciated  big_smile

I'm starting to think there should be a new forum called 'Arch Artwork'. It could be related to discussion of stuff at art.archlinux.org and things like this... Or maybe art.archlinux could have a comments section.

I think it looks great so far...one suggestion though...I'm not sure exactly how to describe it, but I think the background picture of the mountain/lake should be "zoomed" in a bit so that you can't see the obvious rectangular borders of the original picture.  I think that the picture should just be masked by the technical edges that you've created...like you did on the upper-left corner.

Hmmm...Is it the upper right frame that's spoil the picture? I could make it a bit diffrent like a lá left upper corner.

Here's basically what I mean...the picture should take up the entire "frame" even though you've changed the borders so it's not a perfect rectangle.  Enter 25-second-Gimped example of what I mean:
