testing/kernel26-scsi 2.6.13-1 and hotplug.d hanging

I installed kernel26-scsi 2.6.13-1 from testing, now my machine hangs during boot, trying to start the hotplug daemon.

So, I tried to boot my arch iso cd, and mount root, to deactivate hotplug. I am shocked, I can't mount it. I try:

modprobe jfs
mount -t jfs /dev/discs/disc0/part1 /mnt

and recieve "Invalid Option". Humh?

Good I had ubuntu live cd here. How come I can't mount using the arch iso file? I tried to aid another user (coolio) last night installing arch, and we failed mounting discs from iso, too. Can someone please check if his own iso can't mount anything, too?

with 2.6.13 you ahve to use udev scheme else it will not work.
/dev/hda etc. there should be a big hint during install about that.
