[SOLVED] python2-matplotlib package issue

Hi, I am getting these file conflicts when upgrading python2-matplotlib (1.1.0-2 -> 1.1.0-3)

--snip--
python2-matplotlib: /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/dateutil/__init__.py exists in filesystem
python2-matplotlib: /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/dateutil/__init__.pyc exists in filesystem
python2-matplotlib: /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/dateutil/__init__.pyo exists in filesystem
--snip--

Since python2-dateutil was a independent package (and it is missing now) and several packages depends on it (calibre, and previous versions of python2-matplotlib), why packaging it inside python2-matplotlib?

Sorry if there have been any explanation somewhere but I tried hard and did not find it.

Re: [SOLVED] python2-matplotlib package issue

python2-matplotlib 1.10-3 is from testing repo, better check the testing forum board.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?

Thanks for the tip, but could you please tell me more about this?
Should I post exactly the same forum-post to the [testing] repo forum, or ask moderator to move it, or something else?
Many thanks again.

Re: [SOLVED] python2-matplotlib package issue

Hi, It's not about this since those files belongs to python2-dateutil which is gone now. I post here for a double check before open a bug report smile

Speaking in general, if you use packages from the testing repo the best place to search for info / ask for help is the testing repo forum.

In this case, the maintainer of matplotlib Stéphane Gaudreault , has noticed this topic and is working on solving it.

Thanks a lot.
I've marked this as SOLVED now since the python2-dateutil comes back and repackaged python2-matplotlib works correctly.
