Arch Linux Cheat Cubes

Does anyone know where to get Arch Linux cheat cubes?  I can only find them in spanish.

Example (in spanish):

Yeah: print a buckyball with the wiki on it and that would shift some units...

Well, to me this is more of an artistic/fun work than a useful thing.
It would be cool if one could customize the text easily, be it a compile time configuration or a runtime one wink

Nice! I dont find it really useful though, I see it from the artistic point of view. Someone could translate it and read english.

Re: Arch Linux Cheat Cubes

Here is the start of the thread on the mailing list in regards to translating this to English: https://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail … 22091.html
There are also some ideas on improving the information on it, as well.

Re: Arch Linux Cheat Cubes

The commands are very basic, but I thought it would be something I could just set on my desk at work to show I'm an arch linux user.

Re: Arch Linux Cheat Cubes

I think what was meant by the commands being easy is that the Cheat Cube above should be easy to translate even though it is in Spanish...? If I wanted a thingie like that I could just look up some commonly used codes and paste them onto a template. I just Google'd "printable box template" and got some hits.

A cube, Why not a box?  wink

I took your design and added the possibility to open it and put another one inside: http://ayudalibertad.blogspot.com.ar/

Re: Arch Linux Cheat Cubes

.. I really do not get the need for this; "artistically" or otherwise!

I can understand people wanting to make nice logos and images, and even cubes with it for all I care, but having basic shell commands listed as cheat-sheets together with the arch-logo is imho inapropriate for a distro targeting competent linux users...

Anyway, to each there own, and of course you're free to do whatever you want...

Thanks!

Actually, although I use Arch at work and at home, I am not so "competent, that the commands on the cube are not helpful from time to time. But more important, it's a way  to advertise for Linux. When people see the cube om my desk and ask what it's good for :-).

I definetly love that! So, i too translate the cube (used packer instead of yaourt) into Turkish. Here is the result: https://github.com/tarakbumba/arch-kupu

Re: Arch Linux Cheat Cubes

You can import pdf pages into inkscape and then edit them as a vector, then export to any format you want. tongue

I disagree that arch targets competent Linux user-- they target competent people, so a windows user who is comfortable reading and figuring things out would do well with Arch Linux, and the cube might be helpful for such a person. smile
