I don't know when this started happening, as I had set my main wireless network to mixed b/g mode, but I after I noticed my streaming videos lagging badly, I discovered my laptop seems to only connecting in wireless G mode. Reporting a max speed of 54mbit, and if I set my router to N only flat out will not connect. I am sure it worked at one time, because I have a dual-band router and when I was testing it I had one of the bands set to N only and it worked fine, but this was a few weeks ago.
I have an intel 6250 wireless chipset, and I have tried using both networkmanager and wicd, they both just fail. If I use N only + wpa it says bad password, If I set it to open it just times out. Has anyone else had a problem like this? This some kind of kernel bug?
EDIT: downgraded to LTS kernel and issue remains.
EDIT2: also works fine if I boot my fedora 17 liveusb, this is only happening in arch...

EDIT: turns out my router went full retard and was dropping just my arch laptop. reset it and its fine
