KDE: User list in login manager

Is there a way to get a user list on KDE's login manager so the user can choose his profile and then enter the password? - kind of windowish way...
Must be a theme or anything appart?

Thanks!

I don't think there is way for that!

Don't use KDE/KDM myself, but my sources (Google) tell me there should be an option for that in your KDE Control Center --> System Administration --> Login Manager.

You need to use a theme that supports it, the default one doesn't. You can download new themes from systemsettings. Or you can turn of theming completely, that will give you the option of showing the user list.

Yes, a theme seems to be the solution.

Thanks!

Re: KDE: User list in login manager

Default KDM theme doesn't support users list (yeah I know, this is ridiculous*). In fact none of KDM themes supplied with KDM supports users list.

For my sister's PC I was using this one: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Ku … ent=140882
It looks pretty the same as default one, just swap logo icon and background to your needs and your good to go**.

* There are bug reports about that (one of them made by me) but noone seems to give a rats ass about it - apparently login management in multi-user OS is not as important as fricking plasmoids
** This background inconsistency during logging into KDE is another small thing that's pisses me off
