VLC fullscreen mode?

For some reason, VLC locks up if I try to go into fullscreen mode. My screen flashes like it tried to go fullscreen, then does nothing. I can play stuff fine without it, but what's the point? roll

Anyone had this before?

Re: VLC fullscreen mode?

I found VLC to be exceptionally unstable. I only used it while I figured out a problem I was having with xine-lib but yeah, it was woeful. Now I use self-compiled xine-lib and xine-ui and everything is peachy smile

But in direct answer, no, I couldn't make it go full screen either. When I tried it just segfaulted.

Re: VLC fullscreen mode?

No problems with vlc here, even in full screen mode... its the only media player I can get to work.

Re: VLC fullscreen mode?

Strange. I figure it has to be one of the dependancies somewhere in the chain, but I have no idea which one. I think it's something GTK related, because gMPC recently died on me too. Then again, maybe it can't fullscreen because I use E17... 8) Oh well, thanks anyways everyone.

Re: VLC fullscreen mode?

Hmmmm, e17 mightn't help. I could always make stuff go fullscreen but if I let the video play until the end I wasstuffed. I couldn't get anything back, a black screen or restarting X were my options.
