https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=124139  appears to be the same bug.
I filed a bug in Kernel Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42640

Re: [SOLVED] RTS5116 PCI Express Card Reader not recognized

thank you, for now I blacklisted rts_pstor and finally got reed of the errors.
However would be good to have this working, let's hope for a fix.

Re: [SOLVED] RTS5116 PCI Express Card Reader not recognized

I got in touch with the developer of the module. I think he's looking into it.

It is possible to get rid of the errors and still have a working rts_pstor module.  For that, you need to download the source code from the realtek site, then edit the source code and comment out the lines that print the error messages, compile, gzip, and copy the rts_pstor.ko.gz file to the appropriate path.

Of course, that's still a workaround, since it doesn't take away the cause of the errors. That's why I don't really feel like getting into detail with the instructions above. :-)

Re: [SOLVED] RTS5116 PCI Express Card Reader not recognized

From the developer:
"We will fix the issue to printing "bad lun" or "bad target number" during boot, in our next submission to the kernel staging tree. ".

I asked. smile  according to the developer:
Because of the kernel merge window, the fix will be contained in kernel 3.4
