Not exactly sure if this is a problem or not.. but upon booting the distro my booting sequence halts around the 'Starting Network' for a good 10 seconds.
I have an Intel Wifi Link 5100 which is an controlled by the iwlwifi/iwglan firmware drivers.
I tried to manually load the driver at startup, by editing /etc/rc.conf as root and adding both the iwl3945 and iwl4965 respectively to the MODULES array (one after each reboot ofc).
I even tried just adding iwlwifi to the MODULES array.
Still no luck.. Could someone possibly assist me with this?

Welcome to the forums.
The "starting network" part of the boot process basically means that the interface(s) are trying to establish an actual connection. The loading of related kernel modules has been long done at that point.
How did you setup your network exactly? Are you using a network manager, is it set to establish connectivity at boot,...?
EDIT: typo

First off I must say.. You guys are quite responsive! I can see myself taking part in a community such as this!
That makes perfect sense guys! I don't have a network set up. I do it manually each time I reboot my system in the cmd line.

Hi Cop. Glad to have you onboard.
If you're not rebooting too often, you can probably do it manually. Otherwise have a look at the two links earlier.
Since this issue is solved for you, could you also please mark this thread as [SOLVED] (simply edit your first post). Thanks
