At home I use PulseAudio to stream music to an AirportExpress attached to my stereo. PA will play flawlessly for a while and then it will die for some reason and then re-start but no longer sending audio where I want it. After restarting itself PA will be playing through the computers onboard audio jacks instead of the RAOP-sink I create. With "pactl" I load the RAOP module and set the server to the local address of my AirportEx and then I move the stream to the RAOP-sink, usually with pavucontrol or on Arch I use pasystray from AUR. I use PA in this context on 3 distros using 3 different versions of PA so I'm pretty sure either my router or my PA configuration is a bit shpedoinkled(not a good thing:)). I run PA on CentOS6, Debian Squeeze, and of course Arch. I've looked through logs but can't find anything that clues ME into what is causing PA to stop. I've fooled around with some of the options but haven't found a combo that will work for more than 2 to 2 1/2 hours. My router is brand new so I hope it does not have a hiccup. Any and all assistance is appreciated.
P.S. It's interesting that even though pavucontrol and pasystray will see my AirportExpress and display it in their menus I still have to manually create the RAOP sink to get playback.
