I am suddenly unable to get any audio from the google talk plugin (installed from aur) when using google hangouts. It used to work, and today it does not. All other applications can play sounds just fine. I am using alsa but also have pulse audio installed as it is a dependency for many applications.
I think I could get this to work if I could tell the google talk plugin to use my default alsa sound device, but I am not sure how to do that. There is the .config/google-googletalkplugin/options file that you can set "audio-output=" to a value. Any ideas what I could set that to?
Any other info that I could provide for trouble shooting?
Thanks!

I was able to get this working with an old hack I have used in the past. chmod -x /usr/bin/pulseaudio
That keeps it from restarting. Then a killall pulseaudio.
I have never been able to get pulse to work nicely.. Not sure why not... I wish it was not required by so many things.
