A "mark all postings read" links would be nice.

Do you know what would be REALLY nice?  If people looked at what we already have before asking for these things roll

Actually you are not blind and at the same time dibble is right  big_smile
To see the upper right "mark all topics read" button you have to "enter" a forum (first branch under "Forum index").

Oh dibble... is it just me, or does your frustration make *you* laugh too?  Keep up the good work!

There is one bottom left on the index page too - I can move it as necessary?  I have also added it the top of search pages so if you use the "Since last visit" search you can mark them read from there.

Having such a button in viewtopic.php makes no sense to me, so I'm not sure what more I could do?

Oh, and Moo, I'll let you off smile

I can actually copy the line that includes the mark read button and timezone info and place it under the site news section....if people would like that?

I would like to see posts in "newest first" order by default when browsing a topic.
My suggestion is to put this as a user setting in one's profile.
Like the new setting "Ignore theese forums:".

I personally don't like the newest (most recent) posts being listed first in a thread because it causes too many readers to simply ignore the earlier posts and respond only to the latest post in a thread.  I'm not against having that as an option for those that want it, though.  In other words, if there should be options available, I'm hoping the default will stay as is.

Re: Forums Updates: feedback and questions answered

One thing I've noticed... the little section at the top (whatever it's called) with the site news, the links take you to page 1 of that thread... it's irritating if you've read it before and just want to go to the last page - anyway to remedy this?

I'll take a look and see if I can show some pagination there

Would be nice to have "Newest first" and the like saved in user's profile (at least for me).

epo - great news - I found the mod to do this so I will include it in the next updates
