DHCP receives wrong ip

Hi,

I use a dhcp static routing table on my router, an my linux machine should get the ip x.x.x.20, but instead of that it gets x.x.x.4, what just is the next free ip, beacause x.x.x.3 is used by another pc. Before I installed Archlinux on that PC, windows ran on it, and always got the right ip. Wahts wrong with the configuration of my Linux? I started dhcpcd, as someone advised me, but further I've got now idea, what to do.

plz help...  roll

thx!

Re: DHCP receives wrong ip

if you want a static IP, use a static IP, not dhcp.  Instructions are in rc.conf
