look at the folding time, TPF without BFQ scheduler

[22:11:42] Completed 281980 out of 500000 steps (56%)
[22:46:57] Completed 285000 out of 500000 steps (57%)

and 57% not completed at all.... what means, BFQ really helps.

Conditions of use without BFQ. moving files between 2 sata HDs, about 7gb.

atributes on rc.local
echo madvise > /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/defrag

But, a thing that causes strange to me. The ck kernel don't restarts or shutdowns. I hear the click of HDs that says are parked, but the pc dont shutdowns, or restart. Keyboard and mouse downs, but, don't all pc. You should or reset, or shutdowns it manually

Ck on my machine don't. It start the process, but don't shutdowns or restart. Stay in logoff part. I should even shutdowns or restart manually (on power/reset button). I'm thinking about the ati driver is doing this, cause, after select shutdown/restart the screen that appears is the same of boot, and the screen flashes a while.

How are you shutting down? If what you're saying matches my situation on one of my machines its possible it's a bug. Try shutting down or restarting with one of the two commands (if you don't already, most people do)...

To shutdown: halt
To reboot: reboot

From what I heard it sounded like your desktop environment is at fault, (or login manager)...

Do you use gnome, kde, xfce, lxde??? (say which graphical environment you use).
