Partition (disk label?) recovery

I accidentally created an empty sun disk label on my hard drive with fdisk.  (fdisk /dev/sda; s; w)
Is this revertable? AFAIK only the disk label has changed but now fdisk -l does not show my partitions correctly.

My old Partition scheme was as follows
Primary 1: 200MB Ext2
Primary 2: 100GB NTFS
Primary 3: 50GB HFS+
Extended: 250GB HFS+
Logical 1:20GB Ext3
Logical 2:50GB Ext3
Logical 3:5GB Swap

I *think* if I find some way to rewrite the label my data will be recoverable but all help would be appreciated!
Thanks, Arthur.

Update: I rewrote the label command to msdos using parted's 'mklabel', and I am now using the testdisk utility to hopefully scan the disk to find partition information.
