Me too!
I downgraded to nvidia-295.53-2 and suspend worked the onc time I tested. I need to test it more to confirm that it's all safe. Still on linux-3.4.4-2
nvidia-295.53-2 & linux-3.4.4-2 = good
Question:
nvidia 295 depends on Linux < 3.4... you can avoid dependecy, but, does it work with a simple:
pacman -Ud nvidia-295...tar.xz
Or did you have to do something else?

nvidia-295.53-2 depends on linux>=3.4 or <3.5
You may have the 295.53-1 package.
Also my desktop with a Quadro 600 is fine suspending with nvidia-302.17 and linux-3.4.4

But is 295.53 not from downgrading, too?
I have 302.17-1 at the moment.

That is not the problem. What I did not understand is, that mbone said that he got around of downgrading, but it seems he downgraded nvidia.

Hope at the end of the tunnel.
pacman -S testing/nvidia.
Upgrades nvidia from 302.17-1 to 302.17-2.
This completely solves the problem, on my laptop anyway.
Edit:
Do not do this, it solved the problem, but it caused a ton of others. For one, i was unable to boot into X. Hoping the issues get resolved

Was hoping this would work on mine. Sadly it didn't.

Same annoying issue here...

I just downgraded nvidia and nvidia-utils to 295.53, which seemed to work. (However, gnome-screensaver seems to be causing me some grief on resume.)

I have the same issue, extremely annoying. PC wakes up, but the interface is not responsive, only the mouse cursor at times. I can ssh into the machine, but nothing looks "odd". Reverting if possible, this I cannot accept unfortunately, i use this all the time. I also use nvidia.

reverted to 3.3 kernel and 295 driver ...no issue.
Just confirming this is my exact situation (although I haven't checked the NVidia logs).
Glad to know it's not just me. I'm not able to downgrade, errors about my linux version at all if I try to downgrade nvidia, and nvidia-utils won't downgrade without downgrading nvidia... chicken and the egg.

Just do them both at the same time.

Installing the nvidia-beta (version 304.22 at the moment) driver from the AUR fixed the suspend/resume problem for me.
Also disper works again. It didn't with 302.17. Let's hope, it will be pushed to [extra] soon.
Kinda peculiar, though, wasn't it? Torvalds gives nvidia the finger and two days later a crappy driver is released. Talk about coincidence here...
Ok, to be fair, 302.17 is still classified beta on the nvidia page.

The nvidia-beta package is working for me too. Better than 295.53 which still would choke about 1 in 5 suspend/resumes.

I am still hoping for a bugfix in the updates. At the moment I am using 3.4.5-1-ARCH kernel with nvidia 302.17-3, but now pm-hibernate does not seem to work anymore either. When I hibernate everything seems to work fine, but when I start up my laptop again it's booting normal and fsck complains that volumes haven't been unmounted normally. dafuq?

Suspend to RAM is working here again with kernel 3.4.6 and latest nouveau driver.

I just discovered that I can't change my resolution with nvidia-beta 304.22-1 from the native 1280x800

I am now at 3.4.6-1-ARCH with xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.1-1 and resuming from suspend is working again. I did not try nvidia driver this time so cannot tell whether that combination would also work or not. In any case, in case of solstice's and mine, the difference was Linux kernel version.

Same problem here: 302.17 - 3.4.6-1

I can confirm that it wakes up with this.
Mark thread as solved?

Solved for 304.32, for future nvidia updates, who know... this is a recurrent issue.
