Got upgraded in the extra repo today. Which is cool np there.
But when i go to php.net that version is only in RC stage and not released yet. Any ideas why or how a non existing version found it ways into the repos ? Its not 1 april. might be another good reason.

I'm somewhat curious about this too. The md5sum in the PKGBUILD is incorrect for the source tarball too, which suggests changes are still being made.

Sorry about that. I didn't check if it was actually announced yet. The version has been tagged yesterday though http://git.php.net/?p=php-src.git;a=com … d63c1f4ee8 and is available from the qa site (hint: remvoe the RC1 from the link).

Np. Just worth a check if they will be changing anything when its actually announced. But comforting to know you have the finger on the php pulse

They can/should not really change the git tag once it has been pushed.

The PHP site's been updated now, and the md5 in the PKGBUILD checks out with the current download. I guess I just got a dodgy/outdated tarball earlier.
In any case, thanks for the speedy update and prompt feedback, Pierre.
