Chromium - Youtube red dots / pixels / noise ?

I'm seeing random red pixel noise all over any youtube videos I watch sad

The only thing I can think of that may have caused it is I performed an -Syu yesterday which changed my video driver to xf86-video-intel-uxa.

Any hints to the cause would be greatly appreciated.

That's weird. I've been seeing the same thing on youtube html5 videos (flash videos look fine). I noticed it weeks ago and never got around to fixing it, but today xf86-video-intel-uxa was replaced by xf86-video-intel and the problem went away.

Re: Chromium - Youtube red dots / pixels / noise ?

Running:
Chromium Version 20.0.1132.57 (0)

But, I do run testing:

testing/xf86-video-intel 2.20.0-1 (xorg-drivers xorg) [installed]
    X.org Intel i810/i830/i915/945G/G965+ video drivers

Works just fine.

@jrmrjnck:  Are you, by chance, using testing [I've not updated today]

I spoke too soon - the problem has not gone away, although I have found out a little more about it.

I'm using chromium 20.0.1132.57-1 and xf86-video-intel 2.20.0-1 (I don't use testing). Videos viewed in the first tab in a new browser session look normal. All HTML5 Youtube videos in a new tab/window exhibit the orange/red dots. Firefox does not have this problem.

Thought the problem had gone too but opened another video and lo, the dots are back

I see same red noise with html5 videos in chromium, but only *SOMETIMES*. Using the ''intel'' driver too.
Usually, browser restart helps.
