ATI HDMI Audio not working

I'm sure you use something different than s/pdif, it's the digital audio output. I disabled the analog and digital out because they're two separate cards essentially and it isn't being used. The test sound doesn't give any errors but doesn't play any sounds either.

Here's the output of aplay -l

Just got it to work for me, all I had to do was re-install the xf86-video-ati package then it worked perfectly. I don't know why I had so much trouble before. I just saw that our "Northern Island" chips will be fully supported in Linux 3.5
