Recording input source automatically changes from Line to Front Mic

I want to record sound from the line-in audio jack and when the input sound gets a little bit louder - the settings in alsamixer are getting automatically mixed up:
- The input source is changed from Line to Front Mic;
- The capture volume is lowered down;
- The Front Mic Boost volume is all the way up.

Is there a way to force alsamixer/pulseaudio to use the settings that I want to set?
This is really annoying, since I'm unable to record audio on my PC. I had the same issue on a 64-bit Kubuntu installation, but not on a 32-bit one.

Here is the output from the ALSA Information Script if it would help somehow:

Thanks.

I've no suggestions, sorry.  You might include some information about your system -- make, model, audio architecture (which chip set).  If is HD audio, what hardware codecs exist?

Here is my mainboard specification, if it helps...
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDe … -us0000488

As you can see, the audio card is a 5.1 channel HDA by Realtek® ALC662 onboard card.
The PC is a custom built desktop PC with a 64-bit KDE-based Arch installation.

If I try to set the record volume in alsamixer higher than 5, it automatically lowers down the volume and sets the input source to Front Mic.
I don't want to revert to a 32-bit installation, is there any way to lock the alsa/pulseaudio volume settings?
