[SOLVED] Microphone not working after last pulse update

Hey guys,

Yesterday I updated my PulseAudio to the latest version, which made my microphone stop working. I did some research and read about using pavucontrol to configure the settings. However, when I try to start it, it says the "connection to pulseaudio failed" because either "PULSE_SERVER or default_server in client.config" are misconfigured. I checked both and there are empty. What values should they have?

Also, has anyone had the same issue?

SOLVED!

It wasn't! I tried to launch it and I got and error, after checking the logs, the problem was that dbus was not running (I have added to the daemons list now. It still wouldn't work though, and the problem was solved with this.
