I noticed a minor typo in the makepkg man page and wondered if that warrants a bug report, or if there was another avenue to get that fixed?
The typo is in the section regarding md5sums where it instructs the user to type
makepkg -g >>PKGBILD
instead of
makepkg -g >>PKGBUILD

do you have pacman 2.9.7-4 installed? The only reference to it I see is spelled right:
Download all source files (if required) and use
md5sum to generate md5 hashes for each of them.
You can then redirect the output into your PKG-
BUILD for source validation (makepkg -g >>PKG-
BUILD)

Fixed in CVS. Thanks.

No prob Judd...
Yeah Penguin, I've got 2.9.7-4; strange that yours shows it correctly...

Penguin is referring to a different part in the man page
To easily generate md5sums, first build
using the PKGBUILD then run makepkg -g >>PKGBILD.
Then you can edit the PKGBUILD and move the
md5sums line from the bottom to an appropriate
location.

Doh!!! I see it now.
I can't believe I looked through this 5 times and never saw that part once....

try: man makepkg and then type /PKGBILD and hit enter.
