Wine issues [solved]

Alright. I was recently playing the beta for GW2 on windows. I then switched OS's back to arch to see if I could get if working. It ran fairly well, though not nearly as fast as it should have, and I could not change my viewing angle with the mouse. This was a gamebreaking issue, and I looked up the solution online. I found this:

http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.em … ugs/329569

Which informed me that I needed to install the "rawinput patch" So, I checked out the aur and found this:

http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=52294

I had to remove Wine so the two would not be in conflict, but when I ran GW2, it opened up window after window and crashed. I then uninstalled it and reinstalled Wine, only to find that wine was no longer working as it should. I apparently now do not meet the minimum requirements. I tried running the first installment (Guild Wars 1), and the graphics were completely messed up. They were slow and glitchy.

I guess my questions are:

1. How do I get wine to run like it used to?

2. How do I update wine with the rawinput update without using the AUR package?

Re: Wine issues [solved]

I actually got Wine to run. I simply had to change a few settings after using the winecfg function. That will leaves the raw input update. Any ideas?

The package in AUR is identical to this.

In general, when you make a topic like this, it's a really good idea to actually post the errors you get, instead of just saying that it crashed.
