Weird Issue with Intel Graphics Acceleration?

I have an Intel GMA 4500M card onboard, and here my issue - I have xf86-video-intel and mesa on, I use uxa opposed to sna + xaa (it's a GMA with a older 2009 Pentium, so) and I have this game, "Blocks That Matter". On a Debian Squeeze install, this game graphically run smoothly, it's a 2D game and it doesn't seem to have issues. Here on Arch, the graphics are actually rather choppy, in my opinion. I must be missing some sort of Intel Graphics Acceleration, or maybe it's a kernel difference between Debian Squeeze and 3.4.6-1. I'm not sure, so I came here. Any suggestions? Do I need a dependency to accelerate 2D performances or something? Am I missing a process? Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Weird Issue with Intel Graphics Acceleration?

Like I said, I installed xf86-video-intel and mesa, and then I added a 20-intel.conf to xorg.conf.d to use uxa over sna and xaa

Re: Weird Issue with Intel Graphics Acceleration?

Have you tried running with sna or xaa ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Have you tried reading the rest of the page, especially the parts dealing with acceleration?

Re: Weird Issue with Intel Graphics Acceleration?

I tried sna yes, my PC seems to be choppy in general with sna - overall performance is better with uxa but it's just this one 2D game is all. And to cfr, I looked through it, I don't believe any would help me - I would try that one driver but I don't have the X4500MHD, it's just a 4500M

Re: Weird Issue with Intel Graphics Acceleration?

I was thinking more about the stuff concerning libva...

Re: Weird Issue with Intel Graphics Acceleration?

Gave libva a run for my money (just libva-driver-intel) and I must say, it feels better than before but it isn't as smooth as Debian. Perhaps it's GNOME? I only tried this game on Debian Squeeze, I was playing a bit with Debian Wheezy Alpha 1 but I didn't try it out.

Re: Weird Issue with Intel Graphics Acceleration?

Not sure if this will help your issue or not, but I have better results in Fedora Gnome by doing the following:

Enter in /etc/environment

CLUTTER_PAINT=disable-clipped-redraws:disable-culling
