Uh... whoops... No good. Would be quite adiquate, though not *exactly* what I was looking for, except that it sometimes eats up all my CPU power and refuses to quit, forcing me to exit X.

Octave wouldn't do; it's just a mathematical language. I'm looking for something like NuCalc, a program for graphing functions in 2 or 3 dimensions.

Usually, I use gnuplot to do plots. It can also be used as a calculator.
Maybe labplot would be more what you're looking for.

Re: [Request] Some sort of graphing calculator!

Labplot requires all sorts of KDE crap, and some other weird stuff (like JACK for some reason). I suppose I'll try gnuplot...

Edit: well that's not what I'm looking for. I'd say Genius fitted my needs well enough, but the GTK frontend seemed quite buggy.

I'll look around GnomeFiles to see if they mention anything...

Another suggestion: scigraphica (it's in AUR)

Aghh... libscigraphica compile exits with "error 1", no details whatsoever! :x

Re: [Request] Some sort of graphing calculator!

The error message is probably hidden somewhere in the output.
