Hello,
I was recently gifted a Kurta XGT 12"x18" serial digitizer tablet that had a bad power supply and Ive finally gotten it to power on. I can see the absolute positioning and button presses via 'cat /dev/USBtty0' and it seems to be functioning the way it should. What im looking for now is a tablet driver that might support it. I know finding one that specifically supports the Kurta XGT is kind of a long shot however the unit does have several emulation modes and I was hoping to find at least a driver that supports one of them. Here is a list of the modes.
Kurta XGT, IS/ONE, & Series One
Summagraphics Summa Sketch II
Summagraphics Bit Pad Two
Calcomp 23120 & 23180
Wacom II & Wacom I ("SD" Series)
Seiko DT Series
Graphtec KW Series
Hitachi HDG Series
Microsoft Mouse
Kurta XGT Test & SetupAnd here is a link to the firmware emulation manual:

p.s. I know there *was* a driver for the XGT in the kernel way back when but I think its been removed..

I would just try any/all of the xf86-input-wacom, xf86-input-acecad, xf86-input-aiptek. Then you need the xvxbd to use your virtual keyboard. Using the unit under X, is the only way you'll be able to use it.
I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...
Look ma, no mouse.
