My computer doesn't boot after update my arch linux

Hi,
I want to install arch linux. I install it and I update my computer with:

pacman -Syu --igrone glibc --igrone filesystem

but pacman ask me install packages don't need glibc and I answer YES and now I think I lose my rc.conf because when i want to login it can't find my host name and I can't login (in host none big_smile )
Now I read this news :
http://www.archlinux.org/news/netcfg-282-release/
What can i do?
And my next question is, Where I can download arch linux 64bit? I didn't find it in the mirrors and in http://www.archlinux.org/download/ and also Is there any core install version?

The core install has been dropped, and all you should need to figure out what has messed up on your installation is one of the LiveCDs/USB.  You have to pick a mirror to download from.  It comes as a dual architecture download on the same disk.

I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

If you want a GUI.

You can burn Parted magic to a dvd, if you are running a 32bit OS then download "Most people will only need this file:" (32bit kernel) otherwise download the x86_64. If you don't do this you won't be able to chroot (that is change root). http://partedmagic.com/doku.php?id=downloads

Re: My computer doesn't boot after update my arch linux

Read the front page (http://www.archlinux.org).

Instead of six different images we only provide a single one which can be booted into an i686 and x86_64 live system to install Arch Linux over the network. Media containing the [core] repository are no longer provided.

What can I do after chroot?
Is there any backup of my rc.conf?
Is there any back way?
