I had static noise on the microphone in my notebook Aspire 4820T, as I use PulseAudio wiki follow the steps of: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pu … _Recording.
This improved the noise problem, provided that the volume no more than 40%, yet my microphone did not work on skype, was silent for static noise. After much searching, I decided to change the sound settings in my case gnome of "internal microphone" to just "microphone." Remained silent on skype, but outside it, has improved A LOT! It may use 100% of volume
I test with the commands:
$ arecord -f cd -d 10 test-mic.wav
$ aplay test-mic.wav
SOLUTION: I uninstalled the package lib32-libpulse (I use skype 64 bit) and the settings of skype in sound devices for all I selected "sysdefault: CARD = Intel."
