Ericsson HSPA + (F5521gw) WWAN troubles on ThinkPad X220

I noticed that once every megabyte or so I get corrupted data from the adapter. The problem became obvious after a couple of kernel panics, and several log files became flooded. Here's kernel.log where things get messy. The "cut here --- end trace" repeats a gajillion times.

I haven't a clue as to how to resolve this, any and all help is much appreciated.

I noticed the same thing using internet sharing on a windows mobile HTC phone. The messages started after a did a system update (pacman -Su) on the 16th. Here is the pacman log from my system update:

You might try booting up the previous kernel.  There may be a bug in the updated kernel.

Here is someone else's experience in downgrading the kernel.

Thanks David, your suggestion seems like a reasonable way to go. Unfortunately it'd take me a full day and I wouldn't consider it a sustainable workaround. But even so, if it did solve my problem, it'd have narrowed down the cause of the malfunction significantly. I just can't find the time to do it atm.

I'm gonna try posting the outputs to the mbm-devel mail list (people maintaining the drivers for my Mobile Broadband Module) and hear what they think about it. Opimally they'd patch it and I might see the upstream fix filter down to Arch within a few weks. I feel that Arch SHOULD run thinkpads without these sorts of hiccups. Nightmare scenario is that my hardware is a dud.
