[solved]Graphical file selection tool?

Anybody knows about some scriptable file selection utility?
Something that just starts, takes few arguments like mimetypes to include and flushes user selection to stdout?

I'm a little confused about what you're looking for (GUI, CLI script...). Is there a feature of a preexisting application that you're looking for in Arch Linux? What would you like to use it for?

Another approach (if you are not focused solely on shell) would be using Python plus one of the GUI frameworks (e.g. wxwidgets). They provide similar dialogues.
