Kernel not booting after install. [Solved]

Decided to try out Arch 0,7 today on my laptop (i915 chipset), but I'm having a little trouble getting it running.

Evereytime I  try to set it up it just hangs after saying 'Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel.'

I've tried with 3 different CDs, so I really don't know.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Edit:
I just had to add 'pci=noacpi noapic' during boot, because of some acpi error.stuff.

did you edit the grub or lilo config? arch doesn't do this stuff manually

He means arch doesn't do this automtaically and you have to do it manually.

Bless him, he's not been the same since the war.  And excuse the emphasis, I just wanted to make sure it was clear smile

Hm, I think the lilo-config is correct.

image=/boot/vmlinuz26
    label=Arch
    root=/dev/discs/disc0/part3
    read-only

If the config was wrong, wouldn't I get at 'Kernel not found'-error at boot?

Exactly the same with 0,6.
Looks like the PC is locing up, except for a blinking '_'.
