GPU lock outs with low end nvidia card

has anyone else experienced lockouts at udev stage of boot with the reason gpu lock outs? Wondering if my card is on the way out (10yr old).

Each time resolved by booting into ubuntu (for the kids to play cbbc games) using the recovery console to fsck  and comes up again.

old 64mb card.

This is "Arch Forum" not "Mind Readers and Clairvoyance for Witches Forum" so: the more info you provide the bigger chances someone will be able to help you. What exactly do you see? Any errors? Did you checked logs? etc etc.

Re: GPU lock outs with low end nvidia card

hello masteryod

apologies - most likely just a failing bit of kit. Just polling to see if anyone else had experienced the issue - if not i'll be looking for the best value, AGP, passively cooled, nvidia based card in the morning.

Not really a request for assistance - just info.

Oh, no problem then. Sorry if I sounded a little bit harsh it wasn't intended, there's just a lot of people who thinks forums are filled with mind-readers wink

But... is it working under Ubuntu? If so it's most likely not hardware but configuration problem. What's the GPU and what drivers you running with it on Arch?
