Hi,
When I'm trying to upgrade glibc, I receive the infamous error:
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
glibc: /lib exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.I followed the directions on the homepage and browsed the forum for any answers. Mostly I found workarounds for people who've used the --force parameter during the upgrade.
My question now is: what do you need to do next when you haven't done this?
The output of "pacman -Qo /lib/*" is:

error: cannot determine ownership of directory '/lib/modules'The last line seems to be the reason why I can't continue. What does this mean and how can I solve it?
In one of the topics someone proposed the following:
Some other package must still own the /lib directory. Try
find /var/lib/pacman/local -name files | xargs grep "^lib/$"
and see if that prints more than glibc.
In my case it did only print a line about glibc:
/var/lib/pacman/local/glibc-2.16.0-1/files:lib/
Thanks in advance!

From the official news about all this:
Any files unowned by a package should either be deleted or moved to /usr/lib and any directories within /lib deleted (after they are empty)
The devs went to the trouble of providing detailed instructions for this upgrade - please use them.

Thanks mate!
I was focussing too much on the files that I forgot about the directory.
Deleted directory "modules" and the upgrade worked liked a charm.
