Thinkpad Mini Dock Plus Series 3
The W510 boots on the dock and automatically disables LVDS-1, GDM starts up, after logging in my previous monitor setup is restored.
The X230 boots up, 1 external monitor is enabled and while the laptop lid is closed it is still turned on.
While both monitors are connected I get [drm_crtc_helper_set_config] errors every time I switch tty's in console.
Fix 1:
if I disconnect one monitor start X, turn off LVDS-1 through xrandr and then reconnect the second monitor I am able to get it to work.
Fix 2:
I boot with kernel option "video=LVDS-1:d" ( turn off the LVDS display ) everything functions properly but when I am unable to turn on the LVDS-1 until I reboot.
I'm for the most part wondering if the community thinks this will go away as the HD 4000 support matures in the intel drm / xf86 intel drivers.
Open to any and all suggestions to automate this process as much as possible as I believe I should be able to have all interfaces available without permanently disabling one ( especially when I want to undock temporarily )
