try to use filters as generic as possible
I will give it a try with the 1.5 beta release today (I hope it is stable enough).
Okay, changed my mind and decided to go ahead and try Opera one more time... but I still don't like it at all. It simply feels too clunky and slow, and I can't get used to it. I could hardly wait to get it and Qt uninstalled from my machine.
I don't like to have those kde libraries on my machine as well, sadly I have to use some of those kde-apps out there (Kivio (=flowcharting app) & digikam) as I don't know any good alternatives (f-spot is not stable enough at the moment)

Oh - ok.
I was just a little puzzled.
Cheers.

ADBLOCK!
And Filterset.G!!
I dunno what you are all talking about. I get maybe one popup a week in Firefox. I use NoScript, Adblock, and Filterset.G (automagical updates to Adblock's filters) to kill the crap. I almost never see any ads besides Google ads (and those don't bother me anyways cuz there's no flashing GIF crap).

I'm trying out Flashblock and turning off animated gifs in about:config with image.animation_mode = none. This setup looks like it's going to work well for me since I just want to get rid of the moving stuff too.

Filterset.G? Dang I'm going to have to try that. Also, what's that NoScript?
(BTW, isn't Deer Park supposed to have smart Javascript handling like Konqueror?)
