wierd udev.
[best@core2 ~]$ dmesg | grep udev
[ 2.059364] systemd-udevd[58]: starting version 187
[ 4.219307] systemd-udevd[136]: starting version 188
what is going on?

ok. updated initramfs, but stil have 2 entries. is that normal?

That is normal. The initramfs starts it once so it can coldplug modules, then kills it. Then the normal boot starts it again, and leaves it running this second time.

He means is it normal that the version in initramfs differs from the version in the running system.
All I can add to the discussion is that mine are both 188.

All I can add to the discussion is that mine are both 188.
The version numbers differing is not really "normal" unless your kernel is somehow newer than your initramfs - that itself is a little odd since the stock Arch kernel package recreates the initramfs for you on on every update - how would one get into such a state? I understood his last post to mean that they both now say the same version - at which point I consider two udev start messages very normal.
(Sorry if my post is hard to follow in some way - I must admit I'm quite drunk at the moment. I'm quite grateful just now for the red underlines by which my browser tells me I've spelled something poorly. 
)
