[SOLVED] Touchpad stopped working with Kernel 3.4.8

I upgraded to the latest kernel and my touchpad no longer works. I tried "sudo modprobe psmouse" which used to activate the touchpad when it was deactivated, but it didn't work.

Thank you.

Please write the laptop model and the name of the touchpad in the first question.
Maybe your Problem is that the touchpad is recognized as a mouse.

Hi, same thing was happened to me (and "xinput list" displayed the touchpad correctly).

I installed xf86-input-synaptics, restarted X and everything started working again
