Greetings,
I am having the same issue that was posted here in 2008 but i can't seem to find a resolution:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/lm-sensors/msg21829.html
does anyone know how to get the intel dp35dp to work with lmsensors?
thanks!

Is that the motherboard or the sensor chipset? I have to compile and load module it87 for my sensors to work correctly. How did I find that? Based on a warning or error message I was getting from sensors_detect, I Googled and eventually tracked down the module I needed and finally found the source code. It has apparently been missing for a number of years, based on posts I was reading. I wonder why they don't just go ahead and add it to the system?

the mobo is a dp35dp and the suspected chipset is ICH9 internal, but when i manually loaded the i2c-i801 module it didn't work.

I also tried it87 but got the following error:
sudo insmod it87.ko
Error: could not insert module it87.ko: No such device[/edit]

so i ran sensors-detect again and realized i missed this before:
Found `Nuvoton WPCD377I Super IO'
(no hardware monitoring capabilities)google isn't very helpful for this error (partially because i'm not 100% sure what to look for
