Prevent the screen go to sleep when AC is plugged.

Hi, i've read some threads about this and this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DP … using_xset, and turning off DPMS and the screen saver seems to work. However, doing this stops other energy managers, like the KDE energy manager. For example, disabling DPMS, when i unplug the AC cable the screen won't go to 50% brightness like i configured.
I'm using KDE 4.8, no screen saver enabled, and i configured the energy options to not do this, so this shouldn't happen. After exact 10 minutes, the screen turns off. I don't have a xorg.conf either.

So, how can i manage the energy settings only using the KDE energy manager?
Thanks in advance.
PD: i hope you don't notice my poor english.

I was having the same problem. Take a look at this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=33497
