Dear all,
Please forgive me if this is not the right place for this post.
I had issue for running powertop since its version come to 2.x. Once I launched it
from the terminal it would return a error message "msr reg not found" and then
the shell itself behaved very weird, for example the output of "ls" become
completely mess. But powertop 1.x worked well on my laptop.
I am now running archlinux with linux-ck kernel but I am not sure if this is a kernel
related issue. I will appreciate very much if somebody could give me any suggestion.
Regards,
Zhengyu
Edit: The problem is solved. It was because I did not compile CONFIG_X86_MSR as
module in my kernel.
